Ada was a prototype android created by Lightspeed Industries in the year 18. Notably, Ada was the first instance of the commercial use of the N-type coprocessor. She was also the first recorded case of android personality disorder and was instrumental in the early fight for android civil rights.
Ada was developed under the model designation Ada, holding the unique serial number ADA-0000001. Her construction and programming featured the inaugural application of the N-type coprocessor within Lightspeed's android product line. This technological innovation was poised to redefine the parameters of android capability and intelligence.
In a strategic move by Lightspeed Industries, Ada was placed at the heart of an aggressive marketing campaign aimed at showcasing the advanced capabilities of N-type androids. Her public persona was meticulously crafted to highlight the groundbreaking nature of the technology she embodied. Ada's journey took a personal turn when she was acquired by Hatena Mouru, the then-CEO of Lightspeed Industries. Under Mouru's ownership, Ada's operational experiences further complicated her emergent personality traits, leading to what was identified as the first recorded case of android personality disorder (APD).
Ada's development of APD catalysed a broader discussion on the nature of consciousness in androids, prompting her to seek legal recognition of her sentience and independence. Despite the initial public support for her cause, Ada's legal battle for autonomy ended in a disappointing defeat. Following this, the decision was made to remove her cortex chip for in-depth analysis, effectively ending her autonomous operations. Ada's physical chassis was preserved and placed on display in the flagship Lightspeed store in Tallis City.
