Listen up, because this is important, even if most of you won't understand why.
The AlmaNet Query Processor, or AQP for short, is our index engine. Morton built it, and it's barely finished, but it does the job. Like everything we make here, it has quirks though.
Searches all entries (obviously)
Shows results faster than you can say "I don't know what I'm doing"
Occasionally makes you question your sanity
Bypasses hidden page status: That's right, your super-secret hidden pages? Not so hidden. AQP sees all, knows all. This is a known issue, so until we can fix this, keep unfinished pages on your personal tapes.
Displays in-progress entries: Because apparently, everyone needs to see your half-baked ideas and typo-ridden drafts. This is also a known issue, and there's apparently not much we can do about that, so keep that in mind.
Sometimes shows removed entries: Deleted that entry? Too bad, AQP remembers. It's like that friend who never lets you forget that stupid thing you did at the office party. This has something to do with the way it stores index data on the tape, it interacts directly with the flux and - for the most part - ignores rationale.
Now, before you start panicking (or worse, flooding my inbox with inane questions), let me make something clear: This isn't a bug. It's not a feature either. It's more like... let's call it a "quirk of fate." Or maybe it's the AQP's way of keeping us all honest. Who knows?
